Whether for peace, climate, anti-racism, human rights, feminism, animal rights or other struggles: campaigns are the central lever for a just and non-violent world. Correctly implemented can stabilise, strengthen and lead to political successes in educational and printing campaigns.

Sara Fromm is new coach in CampaPeace training

Sara Fromm

Sara Fromm (she or human) is a coach, presenter and author. It is also an action coordinator at the Stay Grounded international network.

Their experiences of the last 7 years are mainly from the German and European climate justice movement with a focus on activeist action groups, hierarchy-free collective, small basic democratic NGOs and international networking. But also from feminist and peace groups, it brings one example or another.

David Scheuing is already active as a coach in campaign training.

David Scheuing

David Scheuing (he/she/he/he/she/he/she) is a coach and moderator. He earns his money as a responsible editor of the quarter-year peace-scientific journal "Wissenschaft und Frieden (W&F)".

More information

For many years, he has been passionate about the right to conscientious objection and is committed to non-violent alternatives to defence and collective security, demilitarization, as well as the end of domination and violence, among others, at the DFG-VK, the BSV and the international network "Warister Resisters" International".

Esther Binne

Esther Binne (she/her) is a coach, (conflict)master, consultant and supervisor. She works halfway as a speaker for peacebuilding at KURVE Wustrow.

More information

Raised and socialized in the Wendland, the protest about Gorleben was part of their youth. Later, struggles around "No Border" or "war starts here" were important reference spaces. In parallel, her feminist and antiracist education work and her own reflection on Critical Whiteness is an important orientation.

The framework conditions

Do I fit?

We address people who are active in social movements and/or want to advise or start campaigns. Experiences in group moderation, project planning and lobbying are advantageous, but no prerequisite.

What does it cost?

To cover costs, the complete training with all 6 modules incl. Accommodation (in multi-bed room) and catering:

  • Reduced contribution: 700€
    • For people with lower income. Please report if this price is too high, then you can also make an individual price regulation.
  • Standard contribution: 800€
  • Solidarity contribution: 1000€

If you are a member of a movement organization, it may support the training financially.

Is that certified?

At CampaPeace we work according to the pedagogical, methodical and didactic standards of the Action Community Service for Peace (AGDF). In the end, you get a certificate.

How barrier-free is this?

  • Language: German language without hearing amplification.
  • Barriers: The Kassel Youth Hostel has barrier-free seminar rooms, but only a wheelchair accessible room. If necessary, please contact us early so that we can take care of it. A laptop with camera and microphone and a stable internet connection are required for the online weekend.
  • Childcare: In individual cases we can organize childcare
