The elections to the Landtag in Baden-Württemberg were open. For the AfD, big wins were predicted.
So what do you do?
At the workplace, in the family and friends circle, in the associations, at the information booth, at public events and also at regular tables? How do we try to convince them not to go to the blue rat catchers on the glue? How do I distinguish people who are still to be reached and those who have lost us and those who have never been open to arguments? Where is the conversation worth it?
What arguments do we have, what conversation techniques are helpful? Handicrafts were taught with practical exercises, for sound discussions that protect us all and thus also our democracy.
Small theoretical blocks changed with small group and workshop phases. Fifteen typical righteous sayings we took to the starting point to consider how to react. In this context, essentially 4 strategies emerged. Depending on the situation and the opposite, one or more of them is the other.
What do we need?
And at all: Who asks, leads!
Three evenings and more than 35 people each came. Over 100 participants. Many had to be cancelled because the space was limited. Interesting was the composition. Predominant elderly people and most of them women. Many work in the "Omas against Law". Full energy and willingness to do something for our democracy. They came from all over the region from the Odenwald to the Pfälzerwald. The alliance 'No step to the right' has a huge distributor. In addition to the practical exercise of conversation techniques, a roller game rounded off the evening. How can people get in touch with people who want an AfD information table in the pedestrian zone? By forming a ring with people around the information tables, it is almost impossible to penetrate the party table without being politely addressed. And whoever is still passing through is one of the group of people no longer to be reached.
The workshops were a complete success. But, as we know, the party received a scary 19% in the elections. The participants were aware that their commitment is not even a drop on the hot stone. Especially since the biggest problem can not be influenced by us at all. A statement from Merz to the "cityscape" or a statement from Söder to the "asyl tourism" destroys everything that many thousands of active people are trying to build daily: a real firewall! A small statement by Berlin's policy and 14 days there seems to be no more topic than the "city picture" and public opinion shifts one piece to the right.
But we remain
Together with the Heidelberg Alliance, the workshop in May/June offers workshops on "strategies against law – for groups and activities" – at the WeltHaus in Heidelberg.
