What causes the biggest CO2 emissions? No, not car transport, not the air industry or the steel industry, but the construction sector. Time for the construction transition
Ohne eine Bauwende in unseren Städten wird es keine Klimawende gegen. „Sanieren statt Abriss“ ist deshalb eine der Forderungen. Das wollen wir mit einem Bürger:innenrat „Bauwende in Heidelberg“ auf den Weg bringen. Zement kann nicht die Zukunft sein. Die Stadt Heidelberg muss einen ausgelosten Bürger:innenrat zur Bauwende in Heidelberg beauftragen. Potenziale für klimaneutrales Bauen gibt es ohne Ende: Renovierung statt Neubau, Umnutzung statt Wohnungsmangel und Holz & Lehm statt Beton. Also lasst Bürger*innen endlich über die Bauwende in Heidelberg entscheiden! Wer sich dazu informieren will: Der Klimaexperte Hans-Joachim Schellnhuber stellt dazu sein Projekt „Bauhaus der Erde“ vor: Anschauen – es lohnt sich!

Lösung für alle Probleme: Die Speicherung von CO2 unter der Erde, das sogenannte CCS-Verfahren – Carbon Capture Storage. Dieses ist selbst ungeheuer energieaufwendig, erfordert Pipelines von 5000 km allein in Deutschland oder entsprechende Transporter als Kolonnen auf den Autobah-
nen. Aktuelle Schätzungen gehen davon aus, dass 2050 nur ca. 20% des CO2 bei der Zementerzeugung auf diese Weise gespeichert werden kann, dann haben wir nichts mehr für die Stahlindustrie und die Energieindustrie und und und.
Gewaltfreie Aktion
Anders als aktuell in der Friedensbewegung ist die Philosophie der Gewaltfreiheit und des Zivilen Ungehorsams in den „Klima-Gruppen“ fest verankert. So fallen auch die Kampagnen- und Bewegungsphilosophien von Bill Moyer, Gene Sharp und Erica Chenoweth auf fruchtbaren Boden. Dank der
Orientierung an „follow the science“, treffen wir hier nicht auf irgendwelche QuerdenkerPhilosophien. Auch die Kritik an den Parteien auf der Bundesebene ist fest verankert. Die Grünen sind für die zumeist jüngeren Aktivisti eine riesengroße Enttäuschung beim Thema Klima.
