Defense is in all mouths: 100 billion here, warworthiness there. The COP 28 also discussed military and climate.
An honest discussion about defense begins with another question:
What do we want to defend? Borders, ideas, systems, structures? Only when what is to be defended is it possible to develop methods to effectively defend value. How can such methods look?
We already have an idea and are convinced that it can better protect people from the violence that comes from wars and coup attempts. And there you come into play: we want to find out what you want to defend. What do you think is worth protecting?
Today we offer a first insight into the methods of social defence and how we are specifically trying to implement them in Germany.

The CO2 free remodelling of the economy can succeed if we win employees, for example, in car factories, shipping companies and in the ÖPNV for climate protection. Climate movement and trade unions must work together. The IG-Metall and the service union ver.di have embarked on the road, e.g. in cooperation with Fridays for Future.
How can union movement and social movement come together? Which projects are already running, which are planned, what needs to change – in both movements?

This interactive workshop explores the positive and empowering effect of a 'humor from below'.
Together, we consider how humorous small group actions can attract attention to our political concerns, how a humorous attitude can strengthen our health and our group concentration, but also what limits humor has.

Für eine bessere Welt aktiv zu sein und gegen Ungerechtigkeiten aufzustehen ist manchmal nicht nur richtig anstrengend, sondern wird uns auch immer wieder von verschiedensten Seiten ziemlich schwer gemacht – manchmal auch von uns selbst.
In einem Workshop wollen wir uns gemeinsam Strategien für Community Care in unseren Bezugsgruppen, Initiativen, Zusammenschlüssen und Bündnissen anschauen und darüber sprechen was wir von unseren Gemeinschaften brauchen um langfristig aktiv sein zu können.
