Review:
Seminar week of "laut & fried"
by Anna Kusche
How can I use peacefully for change and justice in a world full of violence, crises and exploitation? This is certainly a question that many different people and groups are busy. A small group of young people were looking for answers during the seminar week "laut & friedlich" in mid-September.
In the field of tension between peaceful engagement and the desire to be loud and visible, we sought to come into action together for possibilities. In a seminar house outside of Stuttgart, we first approached the subject at an interpersonal level and dealt with nonviolent communication and constructive conflict processing. Over the course of the week we then dedicated ourselves to the social dimensions of freedom of violence, learned about campaign planning, discussed the concept of freedom of violence and collected different forms of action. At the latest here it became clear -the one answer there is not. But our strength lies in the diversity of views and forms of action.
As a group, we were able to learn from our differences. The participants had a wide range of experience and were active in various social and ecological topics. In a privilege check we exchanged ourselves to different social positions and associated experiences. Numerous discussions, suggestions, mutual exchange and space for laughing were created not only in the workshops, also in walks and campfires or in the evening bread.
